I bake pies and raise the dead. I live a very sheltered life.

I just finished the first two episodes of Pushing Daisies about 10 minutes ago. I'm in love!

It's a show about a pie maker who can raise the dead. Almost any further detail would be slightly spoilerish. But just a word of warning: if you enjoy pie, this show will make you crave it. Resist the call of the pie!

I love the character interactions. And the color scheme (vibrant and pulsating with life). And the general quirk level. It also possesses an offbeat morbid/comedic sensibility. In that sense, it kind of reminds me of Dead Like Me, but since Bryan Fuller created both series, it's not surprising. Pushing Daisies, though, is tamer in some senses (language, crazy deaths) but it is on network television so that was to be expected. This isn't a complaint - just an observation. Besides, anything too coarse would probably ruin the mood of the show.

I'll be more coherent about it tomorrow, but, for now, all I can do is squee.
