X: Volumes 1-7 (thoughts so far)
My thoughts are a bit scattered right now. But for right now --
1. "Hello, my name is Kamui. No matter what I do, my life royally sucks." So so pretty...so so damned.
2. I like Fuma. I know where he's going but I still like him. He's basically a good kid whose gotten into something without his knowledge and it's going to destroy his identity along with rest of what he loved.
3. Sorata is awesome. Love the fight with Yuta, love the flirting with Arashi, love his attitude.
4. The Dragons of Earth are really too undefined right now for me to really care. That will probably change when they meet up with Kamui!Fuma but right now they bore me. Demand more screentime!
5. It was so nice to Seishirou and Subaru again. And they confront each other in the next volume. **does happy dance**
On a final, superficial note, can I say how much I hate Viz's job on X. Why did they flip it? It's surprisingly harder to read it this way. And they look infinitely more lackluster when compared Tokyopop's job on Tokyo Babylon. Flipped and flimsy covered will never look good when compared to unflipped, sturdy covered, and color inserted.
