I still tear up every time I revisit the final moments of Maes Hughes. FMA: Brotherhood tried to screw it up with some needless post-shooting talk, but I was tearing up once we hit Ed, Al, and Winry talking about the Hughes family while they were riding the Rush Valley. And then the casket is trotted out...and then there is Elicia's outburst...and then Armstrong is crying and...and I was just an emotional mess by the time Roy and Hawkeye are talking at the gravesite.

Yes, recent personal events have left me more prone to breaking down at the notion of losing a beloved family member. But I am always touched by the death of this man each time I come in contact with it. I know what's going to happen. Shouldn't it, at some point, stir my emotions less?
