Project Runway EP 11: OMG!! Squee!
The wait is over and now we all know whose collections will be shown: All Four! I’m generally not someone who is given to squee but I couldn’t help but clap a little when Heidi announced that neither Michael nor Jeffrey was out. I was really on pins and needles for Michael, who had tried but sadly failed at the dress. Jeffrey, who I don’t necessarily like, is definitely capable of better than tonight’s dress and so I am glad that his collection will also be seen on the show.
Most importantly, I’m glad that the show has dropped the whole charade of “only three designers show in Bryant Park for the show.” Anyone on the Internet or who picks up a national entertainment/lifestyles magazine knows that the final four show all show collections. First season, they screwed over Austin by not giving him as much money or as much time and his collection was easily, and sadly, picked out as the decoy. Second season, Kara gets just what the finalists got and then preceded to blow them out of the water with an amazing collection. This season, we all get to see, on television, what these guys can do and do not have to turn to alternate forms of media to see what happened in Bryant Park.
Next Week: Reunion! Vincent seems to think everyone else is an amateur (he’s voiced similar sentiments in his exit interview in Entertainment Weekly). Whatever man. Keep telling yourself that, especially since most of the contestants this year have professional design experience. And poor Keith thinks we should understand that his exit was unfair and totally wrong. Did they plant the books on you? No. Did they give you ample time to give them up without repercussion? Yes. I would feel sorry for you if you weren’t a passive-aggressive cheater. I still cringe at his head lolling and lying during the Doggy Outfit judging—at least Santino would argue and state his case without looking like an idiot (Asshole? Maybe, but never stupid).
I can't wait to see the sparks fly. (Damn reality show! Why must you be so addictive?)
