Another Fashion Week, Another Project Runway Show
Today was the Project Runway fashion show. This one has the most participants ever (and if you saw Wednesday's show, you know who those six people are). It is also the most uneven. Seriously, looking at these collections (which seem smaller than past collections), the final crew seem hard to suss out. Only two designers really look like members of the "final three". The other four have their highs, but, generally, they just don't have the cohesion of the other two.

The winner is either Korto or Leanne. No question. They're the standouts on both the show and at the final show. Both women make clothes that suggest alot of movement and life. Just from looking at the pictures, I get the feeling that the clothes are going to look great in motion.
As for the others:
Jerell - the construction and ideas are there. But he took it to that Baroque/Rococo place that Jerell sometimes finds himself and it can be more than a bit garish. Regardless, he is the household's pick for last member of the final three.
Suede - the pieces that involve "weaved" fabric (and one is worn by Nazri - point for Suede) are okay. Everything else is dismal. Some garments barely seem to fit - they're too big! Sloppy sloppy sloppy. But I still think he should have gone home on Wednesday (regardless of Terri's bitchery) so I may be biased.
Joe: I dunno. Some things seem constructed "well" but the whole think looks a bit "mall-ish", if you catch my drift. I expected better.
Kenley: It generally looks good but, in general, it looks like a trip down memory lane and all of her competition outfits. And does she have Joe's model? (huge black tulle skirt, bustier top)
As Project Runway moves onto Lifetime (god help us all) for its next season, I hope that one thing they do is make it so that there is an actual final three and no decoys. It was fine for the first few seasons, but three decoys for one season is too much. You're supposed to aim for the top three and not the final six.
