X: Vol. 14 and 15
Moving forward:
1. The Kamui/Subaru vibes where quite heavy during volume 14. Lots of hand-holding and meaningful looks into the other's eyes. Part of me finds a sweetness to the relationship, but the other part of me wonders if they would be good for each other, particularly Kamui. No, Seishirou isn't good for Subaru. I think, though, that it would be particularly dangerous if Subaru turned out to be dangerously bad for Kamui in his current state of "EVERYTHING I LOVE DIES/KILLS THE OTHER PEOPLE I LOVE!" Subaru is, of course, still capable of being harmed, just not so much by Kamui.
2. Lots of tentative steps for Sorata and Arashi. She's starting to wonder about him and to accept his attentions a bit better.
3. Seishirou and Fuuma going out for ice cream as the world crumbles around them. Terrible but perfect! You cannot keep that man from his sweets.
4. NEW INUKI! I was glad to see him. What a cute and perceptive little spirit dog! Still liking Yuziriha with Kusangi (totally platonic but nice).
5. Hinoto: She was certainly becoming more and more desperate as time wore on. And it clearly was had for her to watch these things coming to pass while hoping for a more pleasant future for them all. Now that Dark Hinoto has taken over, it doesn't look well for our intrepid Seven Seals. I'm curious as to why Dark Hinoto hasn't thought that fucking with his friends might lead Kamui to do just what she doesn't want him to do. She most likely believes that she will kill him first but still...
Also, nice little glimpse into Kanoe's motivations and how they connect to Hinoto. She possibly has more sides to her that we haven't seen.
6. ♥ HOKUTO! ♥ I've missed you.
And next week brings us to volume 16 and Rainbow Bridge. Hallowed, precious, TEAR JERKING. Since I'll be reading this one on ye olde computer, I may break down and read it early next week.
