Bleach 414 - Tricky and Trickier

That magic day has finally arrived: Gin has betrayed Aizen. I'll be honest: it was the first chapter that held my full attention in quite a while. At the same time, I have to wonder exactly what Gin wants. We've always been wondering about the man's angle but now things are muddier than ever. We've been given a lot of Gin material over the last few chapters but I still wonder how it all fits together.

And Aizen will live. Duh! We haven't even seen his bankai yet. KT likes to show a character's full potential and then brutally own them. That's not to say that he isn't in a sticky situation. My mind failed to process the last panel until someone basically said "his chest isn't there anymore." Ouchy.

But I'm almost expecting to hear that Aizen lied about the thwart to his release. Yes, it would be another tried-and-true (frequently frustrating) Aizen dodge. But it sounds like such an old school Aizen dodge for him to give this misinformation to Gin to see what he'd eventually do with it. I love them together in part because of that edge of mistrust that you always sensed was there. They've both probably set a million little traps for each other just to see who would fall first.

And, with that, I'm formulating a Aizen/Gin prompt to give up next time a prompt call goes out.
